De deelnemers aan het congres

• Worden zich meer bewust van kwesties die rond wetenschappelijke integriteit spelen
• Kunnen de valkuilen in eigen gedrag en de zwakke plekken in de eigen onderzoeksomgeving benoemen
• Leren onderscheiden tussen diverse uitingen van niet-professioneel gedrag: evidente fraude, honest mistakes, questieuze onderzoekspraktijken en sloppy science die achterblijft bij wat van goede wetenschapsbeoefening verwacht mag worden
• Kunnen voorbeelden van dubieus gedrag benoemen in de hele onderzoeksketen: onderzoeksdesign, onderzoeksaanvragen, onderzoeks financiering, data management en data handling, het includeren van patienten, het analyseren van vormgeven van onderzoeksuitkomsten, het publiceren van resultaten en presenteren van conclusies.
• Hebben inzicht gekregen in manieren om dit gedrag te voorkomen binnen het eigen onderzoek en in de eigen onderzoeksgroepen
• Leren daarover met elkaar in gesprek te gaan en bij elkaar een grotere alertheid te ontwikkelen.
